π§° Tackle Box & the lure catalog
The catalog is riggr's reference library of trolling gear β thousands of spoons, flies, flashers, and plugs across the brands Great Lakes boats actually run. Your Tackle Box is the shortlist you pull from it: the gear you own, ready to hang on a spread line or a catch log in two taps.
Where to find it
Phone: Tools β Catalog and Tools β My Tackle Box. Web: Dashboard β Catalog and My Tackle Box. Synced between both.
1. Browse the catalog
Filter by type (spoons, flies, flashers, plugs, and so on), then by brand, then by product line within the brand β or just search. A lure's page carries the photo, colorway, specs (size, running depth, speed range, UV), and target species.
2. Save it: Tackle Box or Wish List
- Tap the heart on any lure to put it in your Tackle Box β the βI own thisβ list.
- Add to Wish List for the βI want thisβ list β tackle-shop trips write themselves.
- A lure lives in one list at a time: adding it to one moves it off the other, so buying a wish-listed spoon is one tap of the Tackle Box button.
My Tackle Box shows three tabs β Tackle Box, Combos, and Wish List β so your rigs and your shopping list stay one screen apart.
3. Gear the catalog doesn't have: custom tackle
Mom-and-pop spoons, paint-shop colorways, prototypes β add them as custom tackle and they work everywhere catalog lures do.
- Phone: the fast path is Scan β point the camera at the package's UPC barcode and riggr looks it up and pre-fills the name, brand, and photo when it can. No match? The UPC is kept and you fill in the rest.
- Web: + Add Custom Tackle in My Tackle Box β type it in.
4. Submit your finds to the catalog
Custom items are yours only β until you tap Submit to offer one to the community catalog. A status badge tracks it: β³ Pending review β β In catalog (or β Not added). That's how the catalog keeps growing past what any crawler finds.
5. Where it pays off
- Logging: the catch form's lure, flasher, and diver pickers search the catalog β and take anything typed free-hand.
- Rigs: pair an attractor and trailer into a Combo and hang it on a spread line whole.
- Restocking: many lure pages carry a π Shop button that jumps to a dealer who stocks it.
6. See your crew's tackle β
On a shared boat log, the Tackle Box grows a crew switcher: tap a crewmate's name to browse their saved lures, custom tackle, and combos β look, don't touch (only they can edit their box, and wish lists stay private). Their combos also show up in the spread editor's combo picker, tagged with whose they are, so the boat can run βdad's Green Glow Rigβ without rebuilding it.
